What we do

Cable Installation & Re-spooling

A lift is only as strong as its cables. Rust, broken strands and cables that pile up on one side of the drum are warnings. We replace cables with new crimps and thimbles, and re-spool cables that have wound unevenly.

Questions

Cables & re-spooling: FAQ

Something else? Call 301-997-4991.

How often should lift cables be replaced?

It depends on use, water and how the lift is maintained. Replace them at the first sign of broken strands, kinks or heavy rust. We check cables on every maintenance visit.

What is re-spooling?

Re-winding the cable so it lays evenly across the drum. Uneven winding wears the cable and can make the lift raise unevenly.
