Most lift motors fail slowly: they get louder, slower and hotter until one day they stop. We replace motors, rebuild and replace gearboxes, and offer E-gear upgrades with 1 HP motors and oil-bath gears that run smoother and quieter.
Repair or replace the motor?
It depends on the motor’s age and what failed. We test it, then give you both options when both make sense.
What is an E-gear upgrade?
An E-gear drive runs its gears in a sealed oil bath. The oil lubricates and cools the gears and keeps out dirt and debris, so it typically runs smoother and needs less maintenance.
